happenings during the 3D4N trip to pulau redang!~!
**1st nite.. =p**
end up today everyone in the office left earli T_T so after waiting for the bus wif linli (was chattin to her all the while she waited for her (took-eons-to-come) bus... =S)... mi walked all the way down to raffles city... sat down n stoned awhile until tk msged that he's on his way to golden mile complex then i went dwn to meet him...
followed him to make the final payment for the trip @ five stars travel agency... got the tix n details etc... then headed back midway to the mrt station n waited for js, lj n ahp to come... we then went to the market place where some of us had dinner, went toilet... then got our white cards filled up...
after tt we headed back to golden mile n boarded the bus....then js alighted to go toilet... n end up the bus started off (w/o even checkin who's onboarD!) >_> managed to get them to turn back up (one big round) to pick him up... tink he got v sian diao... =X but who wldn't be? but then again... come to tink of it... the lot that js picked @ the temple is q true.. lol
uhm.. then the bus ride is like super duper long.. we went via the 2nd linkway @ tuas... then stopped for toilet break after like near 1hr + of ride at that infamous stoppin place for tourbuses... saw tis super black gigantic fish in their pool.. which is a tad shallow for the fish cuz the top part of its body its out of the water alreadi.... by then.. ahp's alreadi Zzzin.. so she din come down the bus.. lol.. tink the rest somehow din reallie Zzz also.. then after that.. is reallie a super long trip on the highway... the bright lights from oncoming vehicles are reallie too dazzling for my eyes.. so end up i tried to slp sideways,, (an awful position on the bus reallie... but the bus trip on the highway is like super exciting.. cuz the driver reallie went v fast.. cuttin every single vehicle infront... n the road gets more n more foggy... =S until one point i guess the few of us ('cept ahp still deep in slp n i'm not sure abt lj tho keke) cldn't take the "excitement" n stayed awake for q. awhile...
hmmm... guess the remaining of the bus ride is juz mi waking up at intervals n Zzin abit here n there... oh and also saw pretty stars along one of the v dark roads too... and the sun rises!!!! (not that suddenli of cuz)... then i cld't slp anymore... n i tot it'll reach soon.. but end up it's like still a long way off T_T
**1st day~**
ya.. then end up... we reach the jetty for laguna redang at like 830+... when most of us charged for the toilet while tk get us the tix for the ferry ride =X the tics look like the ticket we use for the game "ticket to ride".. then tk keep confusing it sayin it's train tix.. =x.
we then stoned n crapped at the jetty there all the way til 930+ n we boarded the ferry!! yey!.. but somehow.. kenna stopped by the marine police o_o n he randomly checked some of our ic/passports... n delayed us for like almost another half n hr o_o the ferry ride's kinda boring (when u're like stuck wif ppl slping ard u.. yesh... everyone's slpin 'cept mi.. .arghhhh) but reached redang anyway.. tho i wondered.. isn't the water supposed to be cleaR? or rather.. i tot it will be (reason to be explained later. =P) so we headed down the boat... went for tis briefin.. to find out we can onli check in at 1pm! it's like near 11am at that time... so... we queued to settle admin stuff for hotel... en rotted ard wif our bags.. n went for lunch at ard noon wif our luggage... tink everyone din expect the late check in time bah... like one mornin wasted =S..
after lunch, we went to find our rooms... and discovered that.. all the rooms there are catered for up to 4 pax per room!!! o_o so it seems as if we're living in an oversized hotel room.. but that's nice too.. so many bed to choose from LOL!.. so we unpacked....en went to rent life vest n the snorkeling goggles wif breathing tube...was q worried that sea water will seep in n get my contacts... luckily din =P.. oh ya.. for a cleaner alternative.. we apply shampoo on the goggles for anti fog.. works wor... but i guess the rest of them occasionally got their eyes stung fr the shampoo.. cuz they used my pantene one.. like lj said.. nxt time shld get the johnson&johnson's no more tears shampoo.. lol
so 1st snorkelin trip in the open sea is 25 mins of u-zapping boat ride from redang.. why u-zap? cuz we sit so near to the engin that we tremble along wif the engin's vibration... it's a full body uzap wor..! muz hav zapped some fats off my bum then. =p then our boat broke dwn or smthin for a few mins before it got running again.. o_o n amazingly.. to swim wif life vest is not as hard as i imagined... but got tons of ppl... so keep colliding wif others... =X then some of the corels grow till v high... so hafta keep avoid kicking them or smthin... tink ahp's q scared cuz she can't swim then her goggles got loose... luckily, a lifeguard? (one of the guides) helped to adjust... then i went to swim ard myself abit.. but was q freaked out wif the jellyfish-like-unicell looking thingy that's all over the place in the water... cuz if they're jellyfish.. then will sting... so i'm always tryin to avoid the crowd of them... =S there's simply toooooo many!!!!! as for the water... uber salty la... ><~
so went up the boat after tk to drink water.. then went dwn (he went dwn after tt w/o his life vest then i dunno he swim til where liao)... i din wanna go far cuz previously havin a hard time swimmin back to the boat wif sooooo many ppl ard u... so stayed near the boat... then saw js comin dwn the sea w/o the vest also... but it seems to mi he's struggling... so i debated if he nids a hand or not.. but lj caught him anyway. lol.
the trip's fun =) less the jelly fish like thingy i wld be happier... however, tk din get to find the cameraman tho. until when we boarded the boat.. then he came up the same boat as us o_o... which i recognised is that boy boy looking guide that demo-ed for the briefing.. n he took a pic for us... (but we are all nt prepared.. so u noe how it turns out la =s)
after reachin... we all dumped our stuff at the swimmin pool bench... showered.. n went to soak at the swimming pool... or rather.. mi n ahp soakin while the rest swam.. i stil got my contacts on.. so can't wear goggles or wat also... did all sorts of stupid stuff.. end up havin a competition to see who can hold their breath for the longest =P i held my breath for a min plus.. haa.. but that's w/o any big action or wat.. if not i dun tink it's possible bah...
near dinner time.. we went back to bath (n untangle our hair.. ugh...) then dinner!!! which... *ahem* some stupid stuff happen due to some unreasonable idiots... ya but otherwise food was great!~ en we went shop ard in the mo mo teahouse(fake) then headed to find blue sand but we cldn't pin point exactly where they shld be due to vague directions given by the receptionist of the hotel.. en can't see any also... so headed back... took some fotos.. played abit of asshole.. n turned in at 10+pm!!! omg so earli.. haa
**2nd day**
hmm.. guess mi n lj reallie can't get used to slpin in a room wif lights.. en she scared she kick us cuz we 3 gals was sharin a king size bed. so we popped over to the other room (supposedly the guys' cuz that's where the rest left their stuff.. but they all move over to slp in our super messy place anyway).. then woke up at ard 6+ 7 lidat... washed up.. n went to eat breakfast~ their breakfast q alot of nice stuff to eat! tt's one thing i always like abt living in hotels.. their breakfast r so sumptous.. unlike at home.. 2 pc of bread.. =x then we head back..prepared ourselves for the marine park snorkling trip, went to borrow towel again, then we saw this couple of squirrels... n tk started trying to communicate wif them o_O js say we tokin niao3 hua4... but isn't it more like squirrel tok? =X .. headed dwn to the jetty.. hav the same person doing the briefing... n still the same guide helpin to demo also.. well, the person doing the briefing also helpin take fotos.. then he say if we nid to catch their attention can throw stones at them.. (but not rocks he added as a disclaimer lol) so tk's all set to find the cameraman i tink.. n we all cldn't wait to get there.. cuz there'll be more fishES~~~!!! n we'll get to feed the fish! (managed to stuff the leftover bread i got into a plastic bottle.. haha)
this time.. the trip is onli 15 mins =D n we went to sit at the back deck of the boat... still quite u-zappy.. but much more stuff to see~ n i saw the guide that helped ahp adjust her goggles ydae.. he looked so diff wif his glasses on. lol. so while he stared at us (probably tryin to recognise us) while mi n ahp stared back at him, tryin to figure out if he's the same guide =X it's really hard to recognise ppl when u wear those black snorkel goggles...
the marine park is near the shores.. so we actually go into the water via the shore... we like practically ran from the jetty to get our stuff kept n quickly get into the water.. i wan see the fishes... will be so cool to swim wif them duncha tink?? well, the shore's littered wif shards of dead corels tho.. so i floated my way in once the there's more water... n i started feedin the fish! they took sometime to realised u've got bread.. but after that i tink they'll keep payin attention to u for more... some fishes come peck my hands tinkin its bread also. LOL~ so fun! then interestingly.. the guide also came to help ahp, bringing a float wif him... haa.. so he brot us ard to see garupas? (erm how u spell ar)... eels... n many other fishes... wif mi still feedin fishes all over the place.. (then i wondered will the garupa wan the bread... wldn't be great if it comes up.. =S) ya... then after that we left ahp wif him while we snorkel ard smwhere near... then i caught sight of the cameraman ydae (aka the boy boy guide... u'll get to noe his name if u read on. muahaha) so we started take fotos.... then some NG shots cuz the fish swim pass n dunno wat else la.. hahaa.. q. funny.. then the guide helpin ahp also help push us down to take fotos since we still hav our life vest on~ oh.. n he also dived in to pick up a sea cucumber... but i dun feel like touchin it.. later i injure it.. haha =X (tot they're supposed to be soft n so on.. ya.. n to tink js gave it a shake =S) i also found my own life vest coming loose.. arghh.. so kept adjusting... drank lotsa sea water in the process ack~ eventually i swam ard.. got alot alot of stuff to see.. but got current so din go far.. stayed ard then sometimes lompang other ppl to drag mi back against current.. keke.. =p then after tk took out his life vest i was draggin it along... then js took out... en lj.. (n i found myself hands full wif life vests =X but passed the load to js after he wore his back.. lol)time was nearly up then so swam up shore shortly after tt.. rushed to the toilet cuz i din get to go before i go snorkel (too crowded =( )... then after tt took the boat back.. n tis time, we sat at the front of the boat! so fun.. the sea water keep splashin.. then that cameraman came to join us... learnt that his name is william? n he's 22 also (same age as us wor.. but he looked.. younger.. he ask us to guess his age and so everyone guess from a range of 16 all the way to 23 =X ) en he help us took fotos again.. hee.. then told us abt this nu3 ren2 island.. that's in the shape of a women's body.. from face till stomach..
hmmm then we reach shortly after tt... headed to the pool to wash off the sand.. then went back to room to wash up, took q. abit of fotos in the room, n headed for lunch... but b4 tt, ahp juz declared that she lost her watch.. n we found that the gals' room has been cleared... =s yup.... so prolly messed up wif the stuff to be cleared n gone after we all searched high n low (thinking it's so ridiculous cuz dun tink they stole it cuz it's like the rest of our stuff r still there n the watch ain't new. then the watch was never brot out of the room either)
lunch was q alrite =p.. then we went to walk along the shore.. takin fotos... wif tk lookin for seashells... then we all also tryin to make funny footprints... did alot of stupid stuff n taking stupid fotos.. hahaa.. after that.. we went to the recre center to see if we can rent kayaks later... but... end up can't.. cuz the sea condition nt good.. =( sob sob... then we also missed the last snorkelin trip.. so end up we played at the rough waves.. reallie v rough.. but i guess never see ppl play lidat before.. esp when the waves in spore are always so gentle... yup... not bad bah.... then went to swimming pool again... tink i mite be able to master swimming frog style wif head up one day.. i hope. keke...
then... again.. went back to bathe for the 2nd time.. before we go for dinner.. and this time they got tang yuan for desert!! i had like 3 bowls! yummy =9~~~~~ en we went to return our equipments, played pool... played mahjong.. then after tt went find blue sand... (at a 'wrong' location) and found none... so headed back.. but when we passed by the recre centre.. we caught sight of william.. so asked him abt it.. n he actually offered to bring us there!
so the place we went is correct at 1st... it's after the bridge... n we learnt that the "blue sand" is actually planktons in the sea that's washed up by the waves... n they'll die shortly once exposed to air... so we started scrapin the sand like mad... for dunno how long we were there.. then william stayed n watch also.. n that guide who helped ahp many times... (tink his name is chee yao? &/ andrew? ) came by also.. haa... so tink we found like 5 - 6... then after that we chatted wif william... he reallie noes alot abt the sea, the weather etc etc.. i supposed he learn it thru his job... but i guess it's nothing like wat we learn in sch (screw sch.. =x) then we wanted to take a foto wif him.. so headed down to the resort there.. hee.. n stayed there n chatted v long.. i tink he's supposed to go watch the football match =x anyway, he said that the weather these days are getting kinda weird cuz normally during this season, it's not supposed to rain n supposed to be sunny all day round.. the sky shld be clear... then the waves shld be calm n not so choppu... so the water shld be clear also? sigh.. so we all said that nxt time hope we'll be luckier to go there at the right time.. else there'll b nothing to play... so we decided to return back to the resort after the match ended... he actually offered to bring us up to the top of the stone cliff... but we figured it's too dark n kinda dangerous.. so we headed back.. went back to wash up n Zzz... or rather, i tot the original plan is to not Zzz but most of them got back n plop dwn on the bed n went to the Z-land alreadi. ahahaa
**3rd day**
we all woke up somehow.... haa to watch sunrise... tis time ahp 1st to wake up cuz she most enthu... and the sun onli came out after we decide to go eat our breakfast... =s so delay our time abit... breakfast turns out to be rushed... and we all checked out at 830am... leavin the place ard 930am... sobz.. reallie can't bear to leave it... haiz... guess all of us haven't had enuff of redang!!! muz go back one day... the trip back seems (and is) so much longer than how we come... everyone slept thru out.. 'cept mi.. cuz i kept havin the urge to go toilet.. i had to bear wif it for like 3-4 hrs...=S i tried slpin but before i fell 100% asleep.. i wld hav woken up wif my tots turnin to toilet.. =s then after that.. all my dreams will turn to be weird.. so i can't slp also... zzz... so nvm.. din slp much.... then got delayed becuz of our super slow lunner? (lunch cum dinner) then a small accident on the road.... which lead to like almost an hr of debate btwn our bus drivers n the other party... onli reached s'pore at like ard 10+pm... tiring sia
