was walking around in marina sq yesterday, tryin to source for a bdae gift for my niece... walked passed this man and lady... (idk if they're a couple so i shall not pass judgement on that)

man: "hey, i've replied to your message in facebook..."

lady: "you did?"

man: "i replied already, go back and check"

lady: "no... i didn't see your reply at all and i've checked my facebook every X minutes juz now"

man: "i replied already!!!!"

幸福的stuff toy dogs?

今天清洁阿姨在kwee的座位打扫时，对着躺在椅子上的HDB说：“哎哟，这只狗狗很幸福呃！” …… 然后她打扫完alvin的座位后（也看到了alvin椅子上的Luohan）转了身对抱着枕头的ming说：“不买一只吗？”

我：*傻眼* 没生命的玩具狗会幸福吗？(清洁阿姨没看到它们被折磨的一幕吧~）


p.s. HDB 和 Luohan 是从Ikea 买的玩具狗……可取代椅子的背垫或当抱枕用…… 而且还挺可爱的说 <3

finally stepped into Japan!

ok... *wipes off some dust from the blog*
i guess i'm so lacking in mood to type long stories, my blog is collecting dust... cuz any more updates will be juz about work- which i can't say too much either. Of cuz life isn't all about work, but it's quite routine... weekdays work; sat go out wif polar bear and sometimes with AS peeps; sun i rot at home... then occasionally got other outings wif colleagues, ex-classmates etc etc

so... routine lifestyle makes mi lazy. And i'm used to being lazy. haha~ plus now got time online i'll be tryin to catch some anime... oops... ya so i'll try to update my blog more often, but i guess life is quite peaceful now and i'm not thinkin so much le... sounds like signs of becoming old... :S

anyway, onto the tokyo trip~

prologue:
well, we've intended to go Korea... then extend a few days for free n easy... but i realised i'll be v tired after that and got not enuff leave lidat... + we always having difficulty queueing at the uber long queues during the NATAS... so, after finding out that air tix to tokyo has dropped abit.. we decided to change our destination to tokyo

the bad thing about f&e is that gotta plan... i'm feeling lazy and polar bear's bz.. lucky we manage to plan somehow... cuz eventually the whole trip we really sticked to the itinerary for the most part (which i tink is a feat cuz usually wun)

day 1:
the flight's at day 0(28th apr) and it's a night flight on the fattest plane A380... the biggest boo-boo that night is polar bear actually checked in his camera with his luggage -_-" so we got a disposable camera which we haven't used finish (yikes) and relying on my lousy 2.0 mega pixel camera hp... juz anyhow snapped some shots on the plane... thought we could explore the plane but we couldn't... :(

and as usual, i suck at sleeping on transport... they gave us snacks (some buritto wraps which aint v tasty) at around midnight going to 1am and i ordered johnny walker red label on the rocks (which isn't nice i find) to help mi sleep faster... but juz when i finally could fall asleep at like 3am lidat... i got woke up in less than an hour to eat breakfast =_= zzz totally no appetite.. plus food isn't great... the egg is like overcooked and rubbery... @_@

reached narita at around 7+am... was feeling groggy yet kinda excited... the walk from the gate to the customs is kinda long... then gotta go thru all the temp scan... and they got this machine that takes in both ur thumb prints and a picture :O quite amusing... then when checkin our luggage before exiting the airport... i was called to get mine checked along with polar bear's... then that custom officer tok to us in chinese o_o" is that guy from china i wonder? even at the customs? wow

bot airport limo tix... took airport limo tix all the way to shinjuku.. polar bear sleeping for most of the journey... well again i couldn't.. then got off and started scouting for the hotel... luckily there's a map along the street and we tried to figured out where... found the hotel... it's v new and quite impressive... left our luggage... and headed off to find... breakfast/brunch/lunch

went to the keio and jr shinjuku station interchange... got kinda lost around... tried to ask the information counter about day pass for trains, realised there's no cheap pass that allow ride on all the different companies' metro/train line.. decided to give up on the thought and get tix everyday... decided that we should have curry rice for lunch... curry rice cost around 500+yen per person... not bad~

further loitered around exploring... finally found takashimaya time square.. expensive stuff they're selling, found kinokuniya beside takashimaya... their piano scores section is confusing and overwhelming... gave up... headed over to the other side to check out what's game taito... realised to our horror and happiness that it's the arcade.. filled with UFO machines @_@
that's where i got my first prize... the monster hunter walking cook cat (SD version) but subsequently lost some money in attempt to try and get a second one :S headed into a shop that sells like tons and tons of AV... the collection is like wow... @_@ all sorts really.. but v ex wor

so after exploring more, we headed back to hotel... noticed a long queue @ krispy kreme and wondered if it's that delicious. we checked in... found the room kinda small on 1st impression, but it's really clean and neat.. the tv channels are v family oriented... no mention of vending machines for AV channels as zn has mentioned :X

the rest of the day is spent @ suginami animation musuem, eating dinner at ogikubo.. then headed back to shinjuku's tokyo metropolitian govt building for night scene at their observertory.. well the latter's a disappointment as the interior is too well lit... plus we're scammed into walkin uber long dist under the tunnel to the building... zzz long and cold walk
after that was back to exploring arcades and shop + supper @ standing sushi bar.. which is good!!

today's moi company's family day... but it's a weird family day event cuz u can OTOT go and take the flyer anytime today... >.> wanted my parents to go, but my mom refused... so end up i go take flyer wif polar bear again

we headed off to fort canning hill for Ben and Jerry's Chunk Fest and was shocked to realise that the queue for US-flown-in ice cream flavours are so freaking long x_x
so din get to try it.. sigh....

headed dwn to the flyer after that.. all sweaty... :S but in the span of the couple of hours there, bumped into many ppl... like teckyew and his family, my cousin, owm, simon and family, joanna and husband, alvin and wife, ek wif gf and mom, brenda and bf, ailing and bf then ice lastly when i left the flyer.....

after that went to walked around, landed up at esplanade eventually and i actually get to scribble some wishes for the new year on those white balls they throw into the.... river now become reservoir along esplanade there... doing my part to pollute the waters. lol...i wish i can keep the ball tho...

now the usual time table of my day is:

- eat
- sleep

- chit chat (wif polar bear, collagues(mainly mon to fri) and frens (from time to time)

perhaps work has made me less willing to move my brain while nt working... :S

anyway, lookin fwd to gettin out of SG on labour day... cost a bomb to travel these days all becuz of airport tax + increasing oil prices... zzz

well currently life's still alright... tho i think i'm becoming cynical by the day...

work wise... since cny started till end.. it's like eat and eat and eat... lunches, dinners, teambuildings... shucks i better watch my diet... ><~ of cuz i'm being piled with more stuff to do... and quite alot haven't started officially so dunno how it's gonna become in future... see how bah....
of cuz new staff are coming in... quite interesting to observe :P and of cuz there's other quite interesting incidents..but i guess one of them is definately not something tat we want it to happen again >.>

frens wise... still met up wif AS gang.. tho not that frequently now since everyone's bz one way or another.. but stil ok i guess :D everyone's the same la... not much changes... juz as crappy and fun to be wif... hehehe
juz had a 20/01 class outing with a couple of rare show ups :D quite successful fer a last min outing reallie... nice to keep in touch wif everyone =)

boardgaming wise... didn't actually plan to go but ended up going (due to circumstances) fer consecutively 2 days.... darn i'm running out of games to play... and my blokus skill still sux...(all attack, block everyone out... incl myself -_-) introduced cartegena to yq ey all.... seems like they quite like it tho :D (step on everyone! =x)

alumnico wise.... well, rabobank ended... thank goodness... so i guess i'll reallie 封笙(水起)... will still help in comm matters... but i guess perf side i reallie dun wan liao... ><

thats abt it... anyway, do go try Patapon if u hav psp... quite a fresh way of playin game hur

gong xi fa cai to everyone~

finally cny eve has passed and so the 1st day of cny is about to be over too! two hectic days gone... and finally can relac abit more...

everything is almost as per usual bah ('cept tis yr boonwah came over earli in da morning... congrats! no. 1!).... but today went to catch kungfu dunk (initially they wanted CJ7 but the tickets are selling even hotter than hotcakes o_O... but good in a sense so i dun need to keep rewatchin the show =x)... well becuz it's so like not hot as compared to CJ7... we start to doubt if the show really gonna sux that much....

after watching.... i guess it's still quite watchable.... quite funny also.... cuz the cast is quite big.. u dun hafta see Jay Chou's pretty much expressionless face throughout the show non stop... he did smile and cry and make some weird sounds O_o... visual effects are quite good... tho of cuz there are quite a few stuff that seems to resemble Slam Dunk but tt's alrite i guess...

another fri out wif colleagues~!

yesterday was meant to be the actual day of lab rearrangement, but somehow we managed to get it done partly before yesterday... hahaa

well, it's my turn to treat this time and i jio-ed everyone to cafe iguana... well, something very different from what usually ppl will eat here in sg... =p ppl that came got yq, ek, hm, wf, sher, ron, pl, jsn, jul, ven (who reached pretty late) and mi of cuz...

well, i ordered an extra plate of nachos and a jug of blueberry(yq chose the flavor) magarita...
those that drank the magarita said that it taste like slurpee... (oops =x) but at least the feedback for their nachos are still goot =D

as for the main course...  i guess people either find it too beany (if i'm not wrong, jsn and pl's one got like tons of beans... which i like but they dun. =x) or too flour-ry... many chimichangas are left half finished (as in half the tortilla wrap is left there) then fajitas wise it's left with the wrap also... and jul actually went to eat that chilli that came along with his fajita (tho i thought it's meant for more like a deco) and he went downing water after that... hahaa.. yq had supposedly medium well steak which is not that big actually and a tad too well... and it seems like he had tasted so many steaks he actually sayz that in sg, 
there's no place that does the steak really to medium well nicely... haha...
well, i had burritos... which is quite flour-ry so i start picking out the wrap here and there so that it won't be so filling.. and they're pretty cheesy too... but still i started to feel really full upon reachin half the burrito...  but thankgdness hm and yq wanted to try and i get to share the half with them... hahaa XD.. tis made hm really full and yq says he felt full after eating that slice of my burrito... so... i guess it's really damn filling. :S

enough with the food there... we sat until 8+... waiting fer Ven (who arrived ard 7+) to finish her mini chimichanga (which is filling enuff already... while sher is still starin at half her chimichanga.. and eventually giving up =x) den we headed back to harbourfront (which we came frm since our workplace aint so far frm it) and headed in to dragonfly @ st. james powerstation... free entry before 9 but it was like damn crowded... 
before that jul had quitely inched away and ran off to liang court to take a walk (yq noes that tis time jul wun join so he din even bother askin) and pl decided to go home and we parted ways @ nel...
i was quite surprised that somehow the rest are all coming along... since like many of them 
(ron, sher and wf like don't drink at all o_o and i rmb ron sayin he hates places like tis...) so eventually we ended up wif a table that's kinda too small.. so was juz
standin around it and listening to the uber loud blasting frm the band... and wats more... we got a lousy seat at the back of the band.. = music is even louder... but the band's quite ok... i'm quite surprised that they sang many songs that i knew... (so was pretty happy over that cuz nowadays like go ktv and many songs i dunno ;_;) hm went to apply fer membership... (dunno how much it cost him) and end up we got a bottle of jw black label along with 3 small bots of (yuckky, uber sour) champagne... o_o ron sher and wf got shirley's temple, jsn got graveyard(which i dunno exactly wat is mixed into it) and ven got white russian (baileys + milk... but hers is alot of milk v little baileys... =c)  but eventually ron, sher, wf and ven left around 11+ and left the same usual gang there.... yq, hm, ek, jsn and mi... tho jsn dun seem to be enjoying much still... spent half the time smsing ppl o_O and while we hav no intention of finishing that bottle of whiskey...some how it was finished w/o us realising until it's too late... i din drink much tis time.... had like half a glass and keep mixing it with green tea and ice... and eventually all green tea... hahaa.. but later ended up downing the yuckky champange cuz ther's nothin else to drink >_> so we all gave that *blegh* expression everytime we drink it... haaha...

tho... quite stun the band at around 1+ started singing children cartoon songs... like doraemon.. and even fan xiao xuan's excercise song... (左三圈，右三圈…) haha i guess after that performance, we juz finished up everything, wait for hm to go collect his membership card... den i hopped onto the cab and headed home... my ears felt kinda deaf now tho... i hope it's not permanent =S if i ever were to go there again, i'll stay away from the back of the band ;_;

time flies?

perhaps it's really true that time flies once you hit ur twenties... =s

weekdays pass pretty fast (esp when u hav work to do / u and ur colleagues all got not much work to do... LOL)
weekends pass even faster (onli 2 days... -_-)

was reading a fren's blog and she's complaining about no time...
which i guess is pretty much one of the big worries i hav bah....

top 8 list of worries (排名不分先后)
- time (though it's true that i don't want to have too much time and nothing to do... i still wish i have more time)
- money (will probably be on the list forever cuz life depended on it almost...)
- future (the future will always worry me... i don't quite like thinking too ahead...)
- kids (or should they be on the hate list? the brats at my house caused this.. and they're not making it any better... )
- skin (good ol' eczema's still not reallie gone yet... and i seem to see a good deal of wrinkles... *Shrieks*)
- relationships (all sorts of human relationships that is... are... vulnerable to time... and distance... somehow... blah.. need to constantly maintain... hahaa)
- my temper (somehow... i'm flaring up quite easily... perhaps becuz of many stimulants i'm getting in my life and i can't contain it... i don't want to hav one day that i'll really loose it...)
- health (need excercise.... else i'll prolly be the next one that'll die from running)

tis the season to be sickly... fa lalalala la la la la

tons of rain +  germs definately dun help in having a good mood for holz... wat's more a bz schedule up ahead with everything!!!! (everything ranging from work to non work)

perhaps i'll grow to hate festive seasons one day (aside from the fact that they mean i dun nid to work, but working is never bad if my lab ain't empty... juz tt i nid to wake up earli...)

will the rain pls stop showering at untimely hours... will the flu germs / sore throat virus or wat ever virus juz all dROP DEAD?!  

and can there be 48 hours a day insteaD?... haiz....

Chalet chalet

aye, it's a late entry... haha everyone blogged about it le 'cept me... =X
been quite lazy in blogging, suddenly lost the feel and of cuz now trying to squeeze time to play consoles.. haa

the chalet's held last weekend... from sat to sun... i din do any publicity about it... let alone asked anyone... only asked a few ppl rather casually over one of the meet ups and that's about it. the place of chalet is the row of chalet houses right behind the bus 29 busstop in changi... always drop off there but never actualy stayed there till now...

had to admit that the place is no less creepy than the huge bungalow that we stayed for a couple of times (which happens to be nearby too). of cuz scary past experiences from friend's friends din really help. well, but i guess, i'm a dense person when it comes to spiritual stuff... i don't sense anything as long as i dun let my mind run... =p
well, creepy stuff aside... i've met up wif tk n nigel over at khatib after their gym session to head there after lunching... this gym duo really make me salute them... cuz they're so conscientious in going to gym... 
anyway, the journey was abit longer than usual... due to road blks and accidents.... 
still we managed to meet up with ahp and headed to the chalet....

nothing much happened fer a while after that, was playin tiny mj fer a while (lettin tk washin the tiles only since his hands are sufficiently big enuff!) then helped to prep for the bbq awhile.. before my attention got snatched by a few big kittens (or issit young cats?) lying around... well they were rather shy/timid and would keep a distance... but ended up we had a total of 9 cats there with us throughout the bbq
what's more, one is actually a pregnant cat, who din seem to mind that us stroking her if we leave her belly alone... really wow. as for why so many cats.. yes it's food... we dropped food.. and we give them... but... dropped cheese hotdogs r really a waste... (dun think cats will appreciate cheese that much..)

after eating is dancing... qiling entertained us with his dance... and we got him to teach us... sm should show us the video one day... haha. after that was da feng chui... and subsequently wacko... with our names being read backwards... we're getting to the age where cards wun entertain us as much yet dunno wat to do fer entertainmnt.. hahaa... ><

after that went to eat supper.. i was already more than juz half dead by then... came back and bathed... was abit disturbed by the maid movie that we caught for a while before going to supper... but i was too tired to even be bothered how disturbed i am... i din noe the gals r queuein up outside (cuz i rushed straight into the bathroom once i reach the chalet.. damn hot) and they keep calling me (for a while, i thought they wan tell me they saw someone that i din... or something else? o_O) but anyway, i KO-ed pretty soon after my hair dried.... heard about erik's merlioning while i'm semi conscious... and only woke up 8am in the morning... loitered around... waited... went out fer breakfast... come back... loiter somemore.. then suddenli i noticed xh and zl fumbling around in search of smthing.... and the big drama starts... lol (can lol means it's a good ending)
tough search but managed to find it..~ xh's diamond ring which is given by zl...
it's a rather ironic incident of lost and found... hahaa

endin the entry here... probably abrupt.. but i feel like i'm repeatin what everyone else have blogged.. hahaa

getting veri preoccupied during work hours... the deadline's coming up... and i still haven't completed things... (then again, even after the deadline is up.. i stil got more deadlines after that.... *sobz*)

how true that when they say jobs are never ending.... ack.

with job taking up like 9.5 hours each day (incl. lunch time, excluding transport time (which is actually like 2+ hours)) you can see how little time left i have....
so every leisure activity gets compensated...

i dun hate my work.... i juz dun like the amt of time it chalks up (budden it's weird that i'm complaining since my job nature isn't those everytime OT type... ) hahaa... i'm juz hard to please probably.... =\

i find weekends too short now... not enuff time to catch back on my slp... to accompany polar bear and my friends... to even surf the net and read everyone's blogs/ODs...

i always wonder how people can afford to find time fer themselves....?

the end of my 5 days mc....

today's the last day of my 5 days mc (tecnically onli 3 work days mc.. haha)

well, i always find this a joke... cuz people like to ask mi "is your tooth feeling better?" or smthing along that line...
mi being the cheeky one always feel like answering "i dunno, my tooth is out of my gum already!" =X
technically, it's stuck in a bottle of listerine... (so much for tooth preservation...) i tink i'll throw it away one day... cuz the decay's quite bad =S

anyway, my gum's still stitched up... abit pain when i swallow things or stretched it... but ain't as bad as toothache itself reallie... tho i hope it'll heal quickly so i wun nid to be paranoid over it and can brush my teeth properly... i guess it's healing smhow (i tink. hahaa)

wisdom tooth "saga"

i think i'm getting abit famous for having to pull my wisdom tooth out over @ my workplace... :S
well, turn out there's more frequent and frequent conversations abt extracting wisdom teeths... sharing of experiences and questions as to why am i having a one whole week mc (which they find it veri good.. haha) or why am i only pulling out one and not pull out all the four wisdom teeth...

and wat's worse... polar bear's wisdom tooth started bleeding a couple of day ago... and it turned out to be infection (which i deem it even more serious than a decay) so guess he gotta go extract his... but his case is darn complicated due to a impact wisdom tooth and also the risk in damaging his nerves...

like what one of my colleague said... why on earth do they call wisdom tooth wisdom tooth? they shld be called torture tooth!!!

anyway, hope i can quickly recover after the extraction and save back some mc days... eek.
